YOUTH SUMMER KICKOFF 2026

June 28th - July 1st
For teens finishing 6th grade - 12th grade

We want to kickoff the summer of 2026 with lots of fun, great food, deep connections and intentional time to help our teens discover and go deeper in their Christian faith. Quite simply, our goal is to help teens to make their faith their own!  This year we are going to explore important questions like:
Why should I become a Christian?
How would I respond to an atheist?
Can I really trust what the Bible says?

Our special guest speaker, Tim Barnett — also known as “Mr. B” from Red Pen Logic on YouTube — helps teens think clearly, respond graciously, and stand courageously for their faith.

Tim is a dynamic speaker who brings the perfect blend of expertise and humor to every talk. Through easy-to-follow, visually engaging presentations, he equips Christians to think clearly about what they believe and why they believe it. His passion and energy will inspire and motivate our teens to love God with all their mind.

Tailgate Party!
After church, we’ll fire up the BBQs for a delicious lunch, followed by water games and fun (so bring a bathing suit and a change of clothes), plus live music from our DJ!

Time: 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Grades: finishing 6th - 12th

*Teens will have time to change before our session with Mr. B @ 5pm.

Night Session One - Speaker: Mr. B
This is the main event and by far, the most important part of the week!

Time: 5PM - 6:30PM
Grades: finishing 6th - 12th

Breakfast With Mr. B.
It is usually not until our faith is under attack that we begin to search for answers. But by that time it might be too late. Vast numbers of young people are going off to college or university without being properly equipped to defend what they believe and why they believe it. This presentation gives students a taste of what it is like to face objections to their faith, but in the safety of our church with real answers!

Time: 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Grades: finishing 6th - 12th
Cost: FREE
Location: Island Christian Church

Night Session Two - Speaker: Mr. B
